papier-mache: noun
1. a substance made of pulped paper or paper pulp mixed with glue and other materials or of layers of paper glued and pressed together, molded when moist to form various articles, and becoming hard and strong when dry.
sustainable: adjective
1. pertaining to a system that maintains its own viability by using techniques that allow for continual reuse.
ecological: adjective
1. (of a practice, policy, product, etc) tending to benefit or cause minimal damage to the environment.

Since 1990 Silvestri California has been producing forms and decoratives in papier-mache. Water, wheat paste glue and chip board were combined and layed into molds, by hand, to create a strong and lasting form that is truly biodegradable. No resins or chemicals used in the casting process. The forms were then sealed with a clear coat or upholstered in natural fabrics.

Currently we are working with paper pulp, canson art paper and bio-resins to further our commitment to supplying eco-friendly products.
